new in: the mains collaboration
MAINS and EMMANUELLE KHANH have joined creative forces to produce an exclusive eyewear collaboration for Summer 2024. Unveiled during MAINS’ debut London Fashion Week show, the collaboration introduces two pairs of sunglasses that remarkably blends EMMANUELLE KHANH’s timeless elegance, rich with heritage and savoir faire with MAINS’ contemporary streetwear aesthetic -setting a new standard for eyewear fashion.
Handcrafted with meticulous care in Oyonnax, the historic heart of artisan eyewear craftsmanship in France, the limited edition, oversized aviator silhouette draws inspiration from vintage styles and pays homage to the
bold personalities of yesteryear; rekindling the spirit of musical legends such as Miles Davis who donned similar pilot-shaped frames. Each detail is crafted to not only honour the vintage era but also usher in a new age of
fashion.
Frames are available in two distinct colourways exclusively developed by EMMANUELLE KHANH for MAINS using Italian Mazzucchelli acetate. The first colourway, a mesmerizing silver chrome reminiscent of classic race
cars, infused with a 90s twist and complemented by matching silver reflective chrome lenses delivers a captivating retro-futuristic aesthetic. The second, a glossy raven black offering a sophisticated and understated look that effortlessly exudes style, set apart by its contrastingly vibrant yellow translucent lenses.
“MAINS and EMMANUELLE KHANH have a shared pursuit of modernity and effortlessness; with Emmanuelle Khanh’s rich heritage in the world of fashion, having evolved over the decades from its roots in ready-to-wear to its current rise in the eyewear domain, aligns perfectly with MAINS’
commitment to pure streetwear, that flirts with the couture world. Together we bring forth a collection that redefines fashion boundaries and offers a glimpse into the future of style” says Eva Gaumé, Creative Director of EMMANUELLE KHANH.
