Manufacturing
Emmanuelle Khanh promotes French craftsmanship by renewing its collaboration with eyewear workshops in the Jura region year after year, specializing in handmade acetate frame production for generations. By encouraging this unique world craftsmanship, the House opts for conscious, sustainable, and environmentally respectful manufacturing. For its accessories, Emmanuelle Khanh chooses local manufacturing in Germany, Italy and France.
Protection
All Emmanuelle Khanh glasses have lenses that protect the eyes from 100% of UVA and UVB rays. The color of the lenses does not affect this protection. However, lens color provides different levels of brightness protection and only impacts comfort. Solid lenses, category 3, provide greater visual comfort in bright light conditions. Gradient lenses have the darker part in category 3 and the lighter part in category 2, offering optimal comfort for reading or driving. Clear colored lenses, category 2 or category 1, offer less brightness protection (but still protect from 100% of UVA and UVB rays). They are ideal for the Parisian sky, for example.
Maintenance
Emmanuelle Khanh glasses are handmade with carefully chosen materials. To ensure their longevity, store them in their cases when you don’t wear them. To keep them in good shape, we recommend cleaning them under a stream of lukewarm water using soap and your fingers, then drying them thoroughly with the soft cloth provided with your glasses. Do not use abrasive cleaners or paper wipes, which can scratch the lenses and acetate. Always spray your glasses cleaner onto the cloth, not directly onto the frame, to avoid any excess of product.
Repair
If your glasses are damaged, it is recommended to have them repaired by an optician or optical professional. Avoid attempting to repair your glasses yourself, as it may cause further damage. You can locate a partner optician using the [Store Locator] page.
What is an eyewear prescription and how can I get one?
An eyewear prescription is a document issued by an ophthalmologist indicating the visual correction required for each eye. To obtain an eyewear prescription, you need to schedule an appointment with an ophthalmologist for an eye examination.
How do I choose the right prescription glasses?
Choosing the right prescription glasses depends on several factors, including your prescription, face shape, and personal style. It is recommended to consult an optician who can assist you in selecting glasses that meet your needs. A pair of Emmanuelle Khanh will always provide the best result, depending on your tastes and style.
How long does It take to adjust to new glasses?
It typically takes a few days to adjust to new glasses, although this may vary. If you experience adaptation problems or if your glasses feel uncomfortable, it is recommended to consult your optician.
